"Break-up"

Break-up

By: Grace Olfindo

I contemplated this

A long time ago

I think... think and think

I came up

To a conclusion,

It's not fair in your part

I don't want you

To be in this madness

In this, sadness,

I want you to be

Genuinely happy

Even if

I will not be

Part of it

I easily change my mind

Easily change my mood

Easily changing my feeling

In short, I'm not that stable

It is always a burden

In my part,

to know

That somehow

I am hindering

The happiness

Of someone, that could be

Genuinely happy to anyone

I run out of reasons

To still be with you

To said it bluntly

I don't have any reasons

To break-up, with you

But the saddest part is,

I don't have any reasons

To hold on to you

Weird right?

That is why,

I'm breaking up with you.

Thank you for the times

That we talk, eat and meet

To the chocolates, flowers and cake

To the letter, that says "I love you"

To the feelings that was invested

To the time that was wasted

To the moment that you choose to be with me.

I still need to fixed myself,

To contemplate,

To reflect,

To be whole

To heal

To be forgiven

Whether, you accept this or not

I breaking up

With you.

"Sorry"

Sorry

By: Grace Olfindo

Sorry, for the times

that I am not gentle,

Not listening,

Not empathetic

Nor sympathetic

Forgive this lowly creature

Because, once in while

I forgot to empathize

Nor sympathize

Please, forgive my foolishness.

"There are times"

There are times

By: Grace Olfindo

There are times,

That I felt so tired,

Exhausted,

Demotivated and low in energy.

I lost the spark and joy in doing

What I love.

How could I rekindle

The passion that was once in my heart

I was asking myself, if this is normal?

Or do I have to rest,

Discern? Meditate?

Definitely, I needed help.

But, how could I ask help?

I don’t want to be a burden

To anyone, or to someone.

I don’t know what I needed to do

HELP! HELP!

This is what my mind is trying to say.

Depressed, sad, and lonely thoughts

Are start gripping in my mind.

As helpless human being

Haunted by fear, rejection and frustration

I started to think, this too shall pass

I continue to close my eyes

And hope tomorrow

I will feel better.

"Please, continue"

"Please, continue"

No matter how hard the journey might be, please continue.

The journey towards your dreams  it's not easy but please continue.

There are a lot of bumps, trials and tests but please continue.

Sometimes you will lost your ways but please continue.

You will be tired and exhausted, please continue.

You will commit mistakes and failed, please continue.

People will judge you, questions your decisions please continue.

They will not support you and sometimes left you alone please continue.

You will be misunderstood, please continue.

You will not be heard, please continue.

In times of confusion and distress choose to continue.

No matter how difficult it may be, choose to continue.

No matter how difficult it may be, choose to continue.

We will not know if this journey  is worthy still choose to continue.

In spite of uncertainties always choose to continue because in just continuing the journey it's the way to know if it's worthy continuing for or not.

I hope despite of failures, mistakes, difficulties, confusions, disappointments, unfulfilled dreams, unfinished tasks, hardships, exhaustions still please choose continue.

Moments

Life is composed of moments
Moment of silence
Moment of chaos
Moment of confusion
But the moment that I really wanted is "enlightenment".

Where there is no confusion
or sadness
only contentment
But how do we know if we are content?
How do we know if it is enough?

I think I'm in the quarter season of my life,
wherein there's a lot of questions
but have a scarcity of answers.

You don't have to be perfect
to be  a writer
You don't have to be perfect to be a teacher
Just be you at this moment

I just realized, you don't have to be perfect
to be mother
But, how could I know if I am enough?
How would I know that this is the moment?

Maybe that's the time, when other people
affirm us, accept us and most importantly
love us.

In this modern world, wherein  everything is disposable
How does we supposed to know?
That this is the MOMENT.

Muscle Tension Exercise

When you are feeling anxious, your muscles become tense. When your muscles remain tense for long periods, you can start to develop aches and pains, fatigue, headaches and difficulty breathing. Take a few minutes to do this exercise.

It will help you understand how mus
cle tension can cause pain and fatigue.

 1. Hold a piece of paper in your hand and stretch your arm out in front of you.

 2. Keep holding the paper for a few minutes without moving your arm. You will probably notice that your arm feels tired after only a few minutes and may even start to ache in some places. Imagine how your arm would feel if you continued to hold that piece of paper for a number of hours. Although the paper is not heavy, keeping your muscles tense for any length of time can cause pain.

Muscle Relaxation Exercise

This exercise helps to reduce physical and mental tension. Practice this exercise regularly and at the first signs of muscle tension.

1. Sit in a comfortable chair in a quiet room
2. Put your feet flat on the floor and rest your hands in your lap
3. Close your eyes

4. Do the slow breathing exercise for three minutes.
5. After three minutes of slow breathing, start the muscle relaxation exercise below
6. Tense each of your muscle groups for 10 seconds, then relax for 10 seconds, in the following order:
  •   Hands: clench your hands into fists, then relax
  •  Lower arms: bend your hands up at the wrists, then relax
  • Upper arms: bend your arms up at the elbow, then relax
  •   Shoulders: lift your shoulders up, then relax
  • Neck: stretch your neck gently to the left, then forward, then to the right, then backwards in a slow rolling motion, then relax
  •  Forehead and scalp: raise your eyebrows, then relax
  • Eyes: close your eyes tightly, then relax
  • Jaw: clench your teeth, then relax • Chest: breathe in deeply, then breathe out and relax
  • Stomach: pull your tummy in, then relax
  •  Upper back: pull your shoulders forward, then relax
  • Lower back: while sitting, roll your back into a smooth arc, then relax
  •   Buttocks: tighten your buttocks, then relax • Thighs: push your feet firmly into the floor, then relax
  •  Calves: lift your toes off the ground, then relax and • Feet: gently curl your toes down, then relax.
7. Continue slow breathing for five more minutes, enjoying the feeling of relaxation
 8. As you become better at relaxation, it can be more interesting to combine these exercises with memories of relaxing situations eg. lying on a beach or doing a favorite activity.

A full session of relaxation takes about 15 to 20 minutes.  Once you are good at relaxing your muscles, start relaxing tense parts of your body during the day while you are going about your daily activities.
